What Makes Our Swim School Special
Little Splashes Aquatics is proud to be one of Singapore’s leading swim schools, recognised for our innovative teaching methods and focus on early childhood development. Our programs ensure that every child learns in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment.
The Benefits of Indoor Heated Pools
Our indoor heated pools maintain an optimal temperature of 31-33°C, creating the perfect environment for young swimmers to learn and thrive. Our indoor heated pools enhances muscle relaxation & hydrotherapy benefits, eases aches & pains while improving circulation, reduces stress and anxiety through warm, soothing water, and helps manage skin conditions like eczema.
Progressive Lesson Structure
At Little Splashes Aquatics, we continuously evolve our syllabus to align with the needs of the new generation. Recognizing that babies and toddlers thrive in dynamic environments, our lessons include songs and progressive water safety & movement skills that are reviewed and updated every 4 months. Each skill is carefully designed to match developmental milestones, while also fostering parent-child bonding. Our coaches focus on babies’ reflexes and individual progress, ensuring each session is both engaging and eeective.
Facilities and Safety Measures
Our pools are professionally serviced twice a week by experts specializing in public pool care, ensuring all equipment and water parameters remain in optimal condition. To uphold the highest standards, we conduct weekly laboratory tests and perform realtime testing four times daily to monitor temperature, mineral content, and Oxidation- Reduction Potential (ORP) — a key indicator of water cleanliness.
Our Swimming Programme
Starting Swimming Early: A Holistic Approach to Child Development
Swimming is a unique sport that engages muscles all over the body, making it ideal for early childhood development. When children start swimming early, they not only enhance their muscle coordination and strength but also improve cardiovascular health and lung capacity. The buoyancy of water supports their bodies, reducing the risk of injury and allowing them to exercise without putting stress on their developing joints. Additionally, swimming is known to boost cognitive functions by stimulating brain areas associated with motor skills and spatial awareness, contributing to overall brain development. These comprehensive benefits make swimming an excellent choice for fostering a child’s physical and mental growth from a young age.
Benefits of Early Swimming at Little Splashes
At Little Splashes, we prioritize creating a holistic and enjoyable environment for children to learn swimming. Our syllabus emphasizes water safety, an essential life skill that offers both immediate and long-term advantages. Early swimming boosts water confidence, lung capacity, and overall physical and cognitive development, particularly during the steep learning curve of early childhood.
Milestone-Driven Syllabus
Starting from 3 months old, our milestone-driven syllabus is designed to support key
developmental stages through structured programs:
- Infant (3 to 11 months old): Introduces spatial awareness, aquatic appreciation, and self-esteem, building water confidence and safety.
- Pre-Toddler (12 to 23 months old): Focuses on enhancing social interaction, muscular development, and cognitive skills through progressive lesson structures.
- Toddler (24 to 35 months old): Encourages independence, curiosity, and advanced swimming skills with structured milestone-based progressions.
Each water movement skill is carefully structured to align with developmental milestones. We also incorporate activities that address babies’ reflexes while fostering deeper bonding sessions between parents and their little ones. This refined approach ensures an engaging and eWective learning experience, promoting confidence, independence, and essential swimming skills at an early age.
Advanced Development
Beyond the age of 3, our program evolves to introduce fundamental swimming strokes,
fostering greater confidence and independence in the water. Our Children Learn-To- Swim Programme is designed to refine psychomotor skills, enabling children to perform swimming strokes with ease, build stamina, and enhance agility. By incorporating structured drills and progressive skill development, we help children strengthen their coordination, endurance, and water safety awareness.
Starting swimming early at Little Splashes provides a lifetime of benefits, establishing a strong foundation for your child’s physical, cognitive, and social development. Our approach ensures that each stage of learning is engaging and supportive, allowing children to grow into confident, capable swimmers with a love for the water.
